The exhibition is dedicated to the legacy of French painter Jean-Léon Gérôme, one of the leading Orientalist artists of the 19th century, and features approximately 400 works.

Exploring the theme of interpreting the East, the exhibition also includes works by artists such as Alexander Volkov, Nadia Kaabi-Linke, and Hera Büyüktaşcıyan.

Curators Emily Weeks, Giles Hudson, and guest curator Sara Raza have crafted a unique space that allows viewers to experience Gérôme’s Orientalist legacy through the lens of contemporary perspectives on art.
