From 3 to 5 April, the programme of the International Opera and Ballet Festival in Tashkent will feature Boris Eifman’s ballet "The Brothers Karamazov".
The production presents a new choreographic interpretation of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel "The Brothers Karamazov". In 2013, Boris Eifman radically reworked his 1995 production, which had gained worldwide recognition, creating an emotionally and intellectually profound ballet drama.
Set to the music of S.V. Rachmaninoff, R. Wagner, and M.P. Mussorgsky, Boris Eifman explores themes of faith and disbelief, human sinfulness, and spiritual salvation.
