A meeting took place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York between Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, and Movses Abelian, Under-Secretary-General for General Assembly and Conference Management.
During the discussion, the parties addressed the organisational and protocol aspects of preparing for the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which will be held in Samarkand in 2025. They also exchanged views on expanding international cooperation in the fields of culture, education, and the preservation of historical heritage, as well as the role of such events in strengthening dialogue between nations.
