During their visit to India, representatives of the Art and Culture Development Foundation, together with Uzbek embroiderer Madina Kasimbayeva, visited the Chanakya Handicrafts School in Mumbai. They became acquainted with the school’s activities, which is considered a leading center for the preservation of traditional embroidery and textile arts, and exchanged experiences with its masters.
Special attention was given to embroidery, particularly the art of gold-embroidery (zardozi), which aligns with our cultural heritage. Additionally, Madina Kasimbayeva shared her knowledge of the secrets and techniques of embroidery.
The parties agreed to continue the exchange of knowledge through joint masterclasses and the development of cultural cooperation.
