Azizbek Mannopov, Deputy Chairperson of Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, took part in a business breakfast held as part of the International Conference on Creative Economy in St Petersburg. The event brought together regional leaders, government representatives, producers, heads of associations and creative industries development centres from Russia and other countries.
The main topics of the meeting were the production and export of creative audiovisual content, as well as the development of creative industries infrastructure. In the format of open networking the participants discussed the prospects of international co-operation and new opportunities for the implementation of joint initiatives. Of particular interest was the Bukhara Biennial, which was noted as an example of a successful cultural project that contributes to the development of tourism and strengthening the international image of Uzbekistan.
