As part of the International Conference on Creative Economy in St. Petersburg, an open discussion entitled ‘Fashion as Creative Capital: How Style Becomes Economy’ was held. At the invitation of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, Pahlavon Turdiev, founder of the Black Quail and Ikkichi brands, took part in the discussion.
In his speech, he shared his experience of developing the fashion industry in Uzbekistan and emphasised the importance of synthesising traditional craft practices and modern design approaches as the basis for shaping the creative economy.
The discussion became a platform for exchanging ideas about the role of fashion in creative industries, where style becomes an instrument of cultural dialogue, connecting heritage and innovation.
