As part of the Bukhara Biennial, a discussion titled “the Brain and the Body” took place, featuring renowned artists and researchers Antony Gormley, Oyjon Khayrullaeva, the collective Pakui Hardware, Sama Khazmawi, and Suchi Reddy.
Their projects explored the body as a vessel of memory and culture — from Oyjon Khayrullaeva’s mosaic-organ, to Pakui Hardware’s installation combining ceramics and artificial intelligence, to Suchi Reddy’s studies in neuroaesthetics.
The discussion became a rethinking of the body as a cultural space and a medium for reflecting human consciousness, situated at the intersection of philosophy, science, and artistic expression.
