At the World Design Congress in London, the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation announced the launch of the Aral School — an educational program dedicated to the ecological and social revival of the Aral Sea region and to addressing global climate change challenges.
Program Director and bioregional designer Jan Boelen presented the initiative and announced an international call for participants. The pilot course will begin in January 2026, focusing on the themes of food and water.
The World Design Congress is a global platform that brings together designers, architects, and experts to explore the role of design in addressing social, cultural, and environmental issues, while shaping the international sustainable development agenda.
