As part of the Al Burda exhibition at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, six works by carpet-weaving master Sabina Burkhonova and her workshop Bukhara Silk Carpets were presented. Traditional Bukhara weaving, short pile, and deep shades of red and blue immediately drew the attention of visitors.
The works became an important addition to Uzbekistan’s presence at the event, showcasing the living tradition and beauty of the ancient art of silk carpet-making.
