On November 2 and 3, the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi hosted a performance of the opera Tamerlano by George Frideric Handel and Kirill Richter, staged by director Stefano Poda. The score was performed by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan under the baton of conductor Alibek Kabdurakhmanov.

Previously, the production had been shown in Uzbekistan only at its premiere two years ago. Since then, it has been successfully presented on the world’s leading stages. Now Tashkent audience have the chance to see it again.

Further performance will take place on November 4.
