The large exhibition "Ural Tansykbayev: a retrospective of creativity" continues to be held at the Abylkhan Kasteev State Museum of Art of the Republic of Kazakhstan. A special feature of the exhibition is the artist's early works — bright, intense, bold portraits and landscapes, executed in an avant-garde manner. For a long time they were kept in the attic of the master, until they were bought by Igor Savitsky and exhibited in the Nukus Museum of Art. Tansykbayev's early works clearly show his innate talent, sense of color and amazing brushstroke accuracy. However, already in these works, the monumentality of the artist's style could be traced, which would later manifest itself even more strongly in his painting. The central example is the famous "Kazashka", written in 1934. The exhibition "Ural Tansykbayev: a retrospective of creativity" will run until June 1, 2025.
