A meeting was held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris with the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to UNESCO, Kamol Mukhtarov, and the Chairperson of the UNESCO Executive Board, Vera Lacoeuilhe.

As part of the visit to the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, a meeting was held between the Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation Gayane Umerova, the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to UNESCO, Kamol Mukhtarov, and the Chairperson of the UNESCO Executive Board, Vera Lacoeuilhe.

The Republic of Uzbekistan has nominated its candidacy for the UNESCO Executive Board (2027–2030), reaffirming its commitment to the Organization's goals and its readiness to contribute to its activities. Uzbekistan remains dedicated to supporting UNESCO initiatives aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue and international cooperation.

During the meeting, recommendations for promoting the candidacy were discussed, as well as the submission of new initiatives for consideration by the Executive Board ahead of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which will take place in Samarkand in November 2025.
