A presentation of the new round of the Centre for Contemporary Art's residencies programme was held in Tashkent, with Dr. Sara Raza, Art Director of the CCA, delivering a welcome speech. This initiative aims to support artists, curators and researchers by creating conditions for international exchange and cultural dialogue.
The art residency programme includes several cohorts throughout the year, bringing together international and Uzbek participants.
The event featured the work of artist and designer Mohamed Benchellal, who completed a two-month residency. His project, created in Tashkent, brought together fashion and space, tradition and innovation, transforming drapery and silhouette into an artistic language that explores cultural heritage and new forms of its interpretation.
