A delegation of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, headed by its Chairperson Gayane Umerova, attended the Al Burda Award 2024 ceremony in Abu Dhabi.
During the event, a memorandum of co-operation was signed between the UAE Ministry of Culture and the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation. The agreement is aimed at strengthening cultural dialogue, supporting traditional crafts, as well as implementing internships, art residencies and educational programs.
Special attention is paid to the Al-Burda grant programme aimed at preserving Islamic heritage and developing crafts. As part of the co-operation, joint exhibitions and participation in international cultural initiatives, including the Bukhara Biennale, are planned to strengthen creative exchange.
