In anticipation of the first Bukhara Biennial, Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, and Botir Zarifov, Khokim of the Bukhara Region, conducted a joint tour of the venues involved in the Biennial programme.
The route included key venues for the future forum: historical ensembles, public spaces and modern exhibition areas. Particular attention was paid to the preservation of architectural monuments, the quality of restoration work, the state of urban infrastructure, and logistics for participants and guests.
This on-site monitoring made it possible to coordinate efforts and ensure that the city is ready to welcome guests from all over the world. The Biennial will not only be an artistic event, but also a platform for discussing the future of cultural diplomacy and the development of creative industries in Uzbekistan.
