In Beijing, Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, met with the Minister of Culture of the People’s Republic of China, Sun Yeli. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation, highlighting successful projects of recent years, including exhibitions at the Imperial Palace of the Forbidden City and the staging of the ballet "Lazgi" at the National Opera House of China in Beijing.

Particular attention was given to upcoming initiatives — the SCO international exhibition, an archaeological display at the Forbidden City and the Shanghai National Museum, as well as joint cultural projects such as a production of the opera Turandot and collaboration with maestro Lang Lang.

It was also emphasized that from September 5 to November 20, the inaugural Bukhara Biennial Recipes for Broken Hearts will take place, featuring joint projects by three Chinese artists together with Uzbek masters. These initiatives will mark a new stage in strengthening the cultural dialogue between Uzbekistan and China.
