Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, met with His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to discuss the strengthening of cultural cooperation.
The parties discussed joint initiatives in the fields of contemporary art and Biennials, projects within the creative economy and cultural tourism, the organisation of an exhibition on Islamic heritage in Saudi Arabia, as well as the participation of Saudi artists in the Bukhara Biennial, where the installation Al Musalla was presented.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to developing cultural dialogue, joint projects in the spheres of art and heritage, and to strengthening partnership in the creative economy and the promotion of UNESCO values.
