Gayane Umerova Meets UNESCO Executive Board Chair Nasser bin Hamad Al-Hanzab in Paris

At UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, a meeting was held between Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation and of the National Commission of Uzbekistan for UNESCO, and the newly elected Chair of the UNESCO Executive Board, Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar, Nasser bin Hamad Al-Hanzab.

During the discussion, the Qatari side congratulated Uzbekistan on its successful chairmanship of the 25th session of the General Assembly of the States Parties to the World Heritage Convention, and underlined the significance of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand as the beginning of a new stage in the Organisation’s work.
