Today in Beijing, the exhibition “Where Civilizations Meet: Collections from Museums of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States” opened at the National Museum of China, where it will run until November 16. The showcase, timed to coincide with the SCO Summit in Tianjin, brings together 220 unique artifacts from 10 leading museums across member states.
Uzbekistan has contributed 27 exhibits from the collections of the State History Museum and the State Art Museum. Among them are rare archaeological discoveries, mural paintings, examples of medieval craftsmanship, as well as 19th–20th century decorative and applied art pieces that reflect the country’s rich and centuries-old cultural heritage.
The exhibition serves as an important platform for cultural dialogue, vividly highlighting the heritage of SCO nations and their historical ties forged along the Great Silk Road.
