As part of the Bukhara Biennial, the House of Softness at the Gavkushon Madrasa hosted a session titled “Making Through Heartbreak.”

Participants included Aisultan Seit from Kazakhstan, Gulnoza Irgasheva from Uzbekistan, Hana Miletić from Belgium and Croatia, the duo Himali Singh Soin and David Tappeser from India and the UK, and Qu Chang from China.

The discussion focused on how personal experiences of loss and vulnerability can become a source of art and creation. Speakers reflected on transforming pain into creative energy, and on how fragility and sensitivity can give rise to new forms of expression and open paths for dialogue.
