The Second Islamic Arts Biennale "And All That Is In Between" continues in Jeddah, where the Culture and Arts Development Foundation is presenting an exclusive collection of rare manuscripts and artefacts highlighting Uzbekistan's key role in the formation of Islamic culture, science, and art.

Among the exhibits is the foundational work on astrology and celestial calculations, At-Tafhim li Awa'il Sina'at at-Tandjim ("The Book of Instructions on the Fundamentals of the Art of Astrology"), written by the outstanding medieval scholar Al-Biruni in 1029. The text reveals the essence of ancient methods for interpreting natal, horary, mundan, and other charts. A wide-scale comparison of Arab and Indian astrology, along with a presentation of the full arsenal of techniques employed by medieval masters, largely forgotten by modern astrology, makes this book unique.

The Second Islamic Arts Biennale will remain open until 25 May 2025 at the Hajj Terminal of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
