The residents of the Centre for Contemporary Art – Baharak Omidfard, Jack Faber, Saidbek Sabirbayev, and Marina Shastene – embarked on a journey across Uzbekistan, exploring its rich craftsmanship traditions and cultural heritage.
During their trip, they met Uzbek artisans – gold embroiderers, ceramist Abdullo Narzullaev, miniaturist Davlat Toshev, straw master Akmal Mukhiddinov, and carpet weaver Sabina – who shared insights into their craft and the role of tradition in contemporary culture.
