On 25 November, the 25th session of the General Assembly of States Parties to the Convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage successfully concluded at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. The session was held under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan, with representatives from more than 195 countries in attendance.
Under the leadership of Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation and of the National Commission of Uzbekistan for UNESCO, the outcomes of the second day of the session were summarised.
During the discussions, participants addressed key agenda items, including strategic priorities for the preservation and effective management of World Heritage sites.
