On 8-9 October, St. Petersburg hosts the International Conference on Creative Economy, which brings together more than 1500 participants from 30+ BRICS, CIS, SCO and MENA countries. The programme includes more than fifty events dedicated to the role of creative industries in the global economy and international cooperation.

The key event was the plenary session "Russia's Creative Economy. Horizon 2050", which was addressed by Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Svetlana Chupsheva, Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, and Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation and Head of the Department of Creative Economy and Tourism of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In her address Gayane Umerova emphasised the strategic importance of the creative economy for the country, its contribution to economic growth, implementation of large-scale cultural initiatives and development of international partnerships.

Uzbekistan's participation in the conference confirms its active role in shaping the global agenda and the importance of the creative sector as a resource for sustainable development and cultural dialogue.
