As part of the visit of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre delegation, led by Director Lazar Elundu Assomo, to Uzbekistan, a visit was made to the cultural and historical landmarks of Bukhara, where issues and plans for their preservation were discussed.

A presentation was also held, focusing on the prospects for the preservation and development of Bukhara's cultural heritage. The discussions were attended by Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Cultural and Artistic Development Foundation, Botirjon Shahriyorov, Deputy Governor of Bukhara Region, Kurbon Tursunov, Mayor of Bukhara, and Kamol Muxtarov, Uzbekistan’s Permanent Representative to UNESCO.

The projects presented by Wilmotte & Associés are aimed at preserving the historical appearance of Bukhara. Experts in the field of cultural heritage, including representatives from the Heritage Agency, discussed the next steps and plans for implementing these initiatives. The importance of a comprehensive and systematic approach to cultural heritage management was emphasized.
