The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has signed a law introducing new measures to promote the development of the creative economy.
Among the key changes are tax incentives for foreign professionals and companies engaged in the implementation of creative industry projects. The incentives will apply from 1 January 2026 to 1 January 2030. The law also simplifies the process of obtaining resident status in the Creative Industries Park for new participants by removing the minimum income requirement for newly established creative industry entities. In addition, the legislation introduces further mechanisms to facilitate the organisation of international cultural events.
The adopted legislative amendments are aimed at further developing Uzbekistan's creative economy, supporting new participants in the sector, and creating more favourable conditions for the implementation of creative initiatives.
