After extensive restoration work and updates to the exhibitions, the outstanding monuments of Samarkand — the Mausoleum of Amir Timur, Ulugh Beg Madrasa, and Tilla-Kori Madrasa on Registan Square — have been given a new lease on life, carefully preserving the authentic imprint of their era.
Hundreds of unique exhibits — from manuscripts of Mirzo Ulugh Beg to archival documents related to the history of Amir Timur — are now also available in a multimedia format.
Samarkand is truly a place of strength and inspiration.
It is especially gratifying that visitors to the 43rd Session of the UNESCO General Conference will soon have the opportunity to fully appreciate the treasures of the ancient capital of our region.
