As part of Milan Design Week, the first national pavilion of Uzbekistan, titled “When Apricot Blossoms,” hosted a breakfast in collaboration with AD Italia. The exhibition is dedicated to the cultural heritage, craft practices, and resilience of the Aral Sea region.
During the breakfast, a lively dialogue took place between guests, designers, artisans, and the curator. Traditional Uzbek craftsmanship is finding a new voice today in the heart of Milan.
The breakfast also extended the exhibition through flavours and imagery: traditional Uzbek bread, dried apricots, fresh apricots, and “dovcha” — unripe apricots.
