On 3 October 2026, Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, met with the Head of the Russian Imperial House, Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna Romanova, at the Palace of Grand Duke Nicholas Konstantinovich in Tashkent.

During the meeting, the Grand Duchess was introduced to the history of the Palace and the ongoing work to preserve and restore the historic monument. Particular attention was given to the historical legacy of Grand Duke Nicholas Konstantinovich, his life in Tashkent and his contribution to the development of the Turkestan region.

Ahead of the commencement of restoration works, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the preservation of historical and cultural heritage, including the possibility of exchanging archival materials, historical documents and other sources relating to the history of the Palace and the life of Grand Duke Nicholas Konstantinovich.
