As part of Homo Faber 2026, a series of open masterclasses on the art of Suzani embroidery will take place from 6 to 9 September on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, led by Uzbek craftswoman Madina Kasymbaeva.

Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to explore the traditional Suzani embroidery technique and learn more about the cultural heritage behind this art form, while seeing how this ancient craft continues to evolve through the work of contemporary artisans.

The masterclasses will be held as part of the Homo Faber 2026 programme, an international exhibition dedicated to contemporary craftsmanship.
