This summer, Versailles will host a remarkable musical event: on 30 June, the concert version of Handel’s opera Tamerlano will be presented on the stage of the Royal Opera of Versailles. France will welcome the project for the first time as an independent programme — following its success at Vienna’s Musikverein, the production now arrives at one of the world’s most celebrated concert venues.

The leading roles will be performed by Zhenisbek Piyazov, Juan Sancho and Veronica Cangemi, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan and the Honoured Choral Ensemble of Uzbekistan. The musical concept was created by Kirill Richter, who reinterpreted the baroque score while preserving its original spirit.

Tickets are already available — do not miss the opportunity to experience this living history in one of the world’s most beautiful opera houses.
